Warboss Bobz Killa Konvitkz and some udder ladz krump imperial 'eadz!

Dats roight, ya zoggin' weedy gitz! Orkfest happened this time up in the dark cold North!

Sadly we only had two other WAAAGH members travel to join us, fellow DefSkull Nosher, and Skragor, who came up from CT with his DE girlfriend.

So we greenies were a bit underrepresented, as it was myself, nosher, Zorbag Skullsplitta, and skragor representing the forces of proppa, with a DE and Chaos alliance, against 6.5 imperial players; two blood angel, one ultramarine, one space wolf, one sisters, one armored company, and on 'umie drop troop (the .5, he had about 1000-1500 points, which is less than everyone else's 2500.

We were able to field Nosher's kult of defspeed, Zorbag's KoS, the killa konviktz (defskull list), and skragor's vanilla list. I also ran a small, undersized Armored Krumpany to match some points to our 1/2 drop troop army. Our DE friends were a kabal of speed, and the chaos helped round out our figures.

Super toys on the imperum side ran to a kustom beakie flyer of gargant destroying, and an imperium supertank that was also engineered for that purpose, having as many structure points as the gargant itself, despite being smaller than my shadowsword...go figure. The 'umie player also had a valkarie.

Facing that we had the two gargants, my looted shadowsword, and a fighta bomba.

Making a rough estimate, we were approximately 3000k short on points, but it may be more like 2000, as the shadowsword may have tipped the scale back a bit.

The mission? Assination. Sides gained points for killing the the enemies generals. To even it out, I marked gooba as an eligable kill. The trick was though, you didn't get points unless your general pesonally killed somehthing; this meant no skulkering in the back.

chaos and konviktz, oh my!

beakies of every flavor.

After lining everyone up, I decided the best way to start the game was to have two representatives from each army fight off, mano a mano, for first turn privledges. After a dice roll off, it eneded up being Warboss Nosher versus Dante of the Blood Angels.

Come on Nosher! WAAAAAAAAAAAGH!

IPB Image

Dante swung fast and furious, wounding the mighty ork 3 times - but with his lucky tatooes saved one, leaving the warboss a chance! With a electrical snap! the powerclaw wielding beast lunged forward and....

IPB Image

yup. needed four to hit.(actual dice. No real dice were hurt, injured, or maimed in making this shot. Professional ork players, please do not try this at home.)

The imperium got first turn. Just to make that weedy old Nosher pay, he had to do the rest of the game as if he was in difficult terrain. Bad limp you see.

The rest of my report will be disjuncted, and without theme, as I was

1. running it
2. playing in it.
3. taking pictures of it.

So bear with me.

Sisters charge forward, pop smoke, only to have all three fully laden rhinos blown to bitz. Yes, sixes on glances.!

IPB Image

Tin'ead J's ultra smurfs bear down on Nosher's boyz.

IPB Image

Blood angels everywhere! 5k points!

IPB Image

facing them, out numbered and single handed was Warboss Skragor! WAAAAAGH!

IPB Image

who wasted no time in charging forward!

IPB Image

Things got messy in front of gooba, as the chaos allies began to plunder the sisters in front of the mekboy gargant.

IPB Image

Konvikt tank bustaz provide covering fire from the Gobtress!

IPB Image

Wolves and templars advance against Warboss Bob and lil'Krooza, the basic gargant.

IPB Image

Noshers lads take a pounding from the advancing ultrabeakies

IPB Image

and 'umie valkalryie screams in low, adding fire support.

IPB Image

Skragor continued his mad rampage, shredding blood angels right and left.

IPB Image

IPB Image

despite being out numbered 2 to one, Skragor's boyz seemed endless.

IPB Image

In the center, Bob abandoned Gargant, as lil'krooza had taken a beating from the cheese 'speeder of the imperials.

IPB Image

Jumping out, he and his ladz charged a rhino, destroyed it, and swung into this venerable dreadnought.

IPB Image

Counterattacked by other Beakies, the nobz held out, and with typical bob luckiness, the dread crushed him. The nobz would kill it a turn later, a turn too late.

Elsewhere, the chaos forces began to severely overrun the sisters' lines.

IPB Image

Nosher finally got his boyz into hand to hand, and the bard on that side of the table begin to sing a different song.

IPB Image

and armored krumpany vs armored company, shells rang out right and left.

IPB Image

Love this shot.

IPB Image

Zorbag and Skargor's friend get into the action.

IPB Image

Action was fast and furious!

IPB Image

Perhaps too little, too late for these beakies!

End Results.

You were waiting for it, weren't ya?

Imperial Commanders killed. 7

Warboss Bobz Killa konvitkz - 2
Skargor's Boyz - 2
Nosher's ladz - 1
Dark panzee - 1
Chaos - 1

Ork Commanders killed. 2

Warboss Bob
Warboss Nosher
Warboss Zorbag ( his death didn't count to score, as imperial commander was killed before he killed anything negating his score. However he was blown up with demo charges, so we gave style points to the 'umie drop troop player.)

Orks Win!

My memorable highlights?

Fighta bomma vs Valkarie dogfight, Fighta bomma glances with big shoota and gets a six on the table. Def Squadron Boyz!
Destroying the bridge across konviktz kanyon, killing ooodles of 'umie who were on top.
Charging the 'umie command squad and wiping them out with the stocks on shootaz.
Watching Zorbag get blown up with a demo charge.
Watching Nosher limp across the battlefield.
Watching Skragor crush twice his number in blood angels.
Gooba, of course, living.

Thanks to all that attended. I do hope we can get more for next year, and make it a really big event!
