Mega Gooba!

I decided after the 2005 Orkfest, that Gooba needed some better personal protection, due to the number of assassins that seem to pointed in his general direction. Why he is so ill-thought of by the so called forces of order, no one knows.

With that criteria, I set off to make Gooba a set of mega-armor to suit his certain style.

Based on the Gazhul model, he gets a grabba klaw from the old (2nd edition) ork dreadnought
The back generator comes from the Confrontation universe, and that's an old school leman russ searchlight.
I kept the same gorkamorka head I used on the original Gooba.
and added a little bit of a face shield to bulk him out.
Next up was his kombi shoota.
Yes, it fires rivets.
That's a dreadnought skorcha under the twin barrels of the rivet gun.
I added hydraulics
and you might notice a revised searchlight.
Next up, thanks to the boyz at the Waaagh, was a roll cage for his head.
paperclips!
I added a spliced together spiked shoulder pad
and green stuff cables to the rivet arm
Thordude (the Waaagh) pointed out the claw looked wrong, so I ripped it off, and made another one that has a steeper angle to it.
With the new claw mounted ,and a grot pointing out the choice bitz.
I started on his base. It's a single piece of thick plasticard, 45 mm thick. I used this instead of a GW base as I want him on a bunch of scrap, and I didn't want him 12 feet tall.
A size comparison with some "regular" mek boyz.
And fully based.
His "combat" base.
Now you might have noticed the first two based pictures showed him on a bigger base - that's because has two.
His smaller, legal "combat" base fits inside the other. Clever, I know, but hardly an original idea.
